KaraJamTM is a free web app designed to enhance musicians' learning,
performance, and collaboration using MIDI technology. It also serves
as a very easy to use MIDI editor for doing basic editing, without the
need to acquire a MIDI editor, and learning a more complex system.

A few of the things you can do with KaraJamTM . . .

1). Use it as a MIDI player Timbres of Heaven will be the default soon!
So anyone using KaraJamTM will have a much better MIDI experience!

2). Use it as a simple MIDI editor! Edit basic MIDI files
a). EVENTS (like reverb, volume, etc.) can easily and quickly be edited
b). Muting tracks you don't want to play in your MIDI file. Just mute
and re-save.

c). Super easy key transposer! Change the key, re-save!

d). Change instruments on tracks easily! Want a different synth or
bass guitar, no problem!

3). KaraJamTM is an excellent tool for learning! Just open your file, see
the chord changes. Slow the track down if needed. There is a visualizer
mode where you can see the notes being played on a keyboard! PLUS
many more learning tools will be released soon! Including guitar and
bass tab, and tab for other instruments!

As development continues, other instruments will be added in the
learning tools. Learning a song melody on sax? Just select the melody
track in your MIDI file. Solo it. Then play along with it!

4). MIDI to WAV audio converter. Make your edits to your MIDI file,
re-save. And then convert to .wav if you want audio files!

5). KaraJamTM can be used as a performance tool, playing your backing
tracks MIDI/KAR files, and showing the scrolling lyrics as the track plays.

When you open a file, you can also select more than one, or all of the
files in the folder. They will all go into a playlist, and will play
sequentially.

This would be a great way to have a Karaoke Family Night at home, or
at a party!

Current Goal
The focus is to create a Karaoke+Chords mode that visualizes lyrics and
chords, allowing users to practice and perform MIDI-based songs inter-
actively.

The Music Notation section is intended to help musician learn a song,
by visualizing the individual channels.

From the Main screen, in the upper left corner, you will find a drop down
menu to select the channel you're interested in. If chords exist they will
show in the main screen.

If you are learning an instrument, select a channel for the Music Notation
to be presented in the main screen.

Example:
Download MIDI files from the MidKar website where you will find over
41,400 midi files. Not all files have lyrics, but by choosing a channel for
the instrument your interested in, you should get the Chords or Notation.

You can slow the music down using the small clock on the Transport
controls at the bottom of the screen. Enter a fraction of 1 to slow down
the play back. Now follow along as you practice that part. Keep increase-
ing the speed until you're comfortable play it at full speed. You enter a
decimal in the playback rate field. Like .5 for half speed.

We are interested in getting feedback on these few features so we can
continue to improve and refine!

The website is not being index by Search Engines yet, as they wants it working
well before it is released.

For now we would like you to just give it a run through. No instructions.
Click the 'Upload your MIDI files' link. Pick a MIDI and GO FOR IT! Look
around. Figure some things out. Go to the mixer and see what you can do!
Ask questions when needed!

Ideally, pick a KAR! So you can see the lyrics functionality. But MIDIs and
KARs are identical. Edit the same way. Etc.!

Have at it! Have some fun. Post comments to the group. (Keep it to just
