W&M by Dolly Parton (1973-4) The country track was released on June 6, 1974 as the second single from Parton's thirteenth solo studio album, Jolene (1974). The singer wrote the song, which was recorded on June 13, 1973, for her one-time partner and mentor Porter Wagoner, from whom she was professionally splitting at the time. Parton later re-recorded the song in 1982, when it was included on the soundtrack of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. "I Will Always Love You" received positive comments from critics and attained commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart two times. With the accomplishment, Parton became the first artist ever to earn a number one record twice with the same song as a singer, and three times as a writer. "I Will Always Love You" is the second song ever to reach the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 in separate chart runs. Whitney Houston recorded a version of the song for the 1992 film The Bodyguard - it has since become one of the best selling singles of all time. Soundtrack, Country, Adult Contemporary |

Music by Eubie Blake, Lyrics by Noble Sissle (1921) From the Broadway show Shuffle Along. Originally written as a waltz, Blake rewrote the number as a foxtrot at the singer's request. The result was a simple, direct, joyous, and infectious tune enhanced onstage by improvisational dancing. In 1948 Harry S. Truman selected "I'm Just Wild About Harry" as his campaign song for the United States presidential election of 1948. Its success in politics led to a popular revival. The song also appears in 1932's "Babes In Arms". Soundtrack, Jazz, Vocal Music, Classical |

John Barry (1962) W&M by Monty Norman The "James Bond Theme" is the main signature theme of the James Bond films and has featured in every Eon Productions Bond film since Dr. No, released in 1962. The piece has been used as an accompanying fanfare to the gun barrel sequence in almost every James Bond film. The "James Bond Theme" has accompanied the opening titles twice, as part of the medley that opens Dr. No and then again in the opening credits of From Russia with Love (1963). It has been used as music over the end credits for Dr. No, Thunderball (1965), On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), The World Is Not Enough (1999), Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), and Skyfall (2012). The tune uses a surf rock style guitar riff. At the time of the first film's release, surf rock was a major craze. Not to be confused with the "007 Theme" Soundtrack |

Music: Charles Cuvillier, English Lyrics: Robert B. Smith (1911) From Wikipedia: Der lila Domino (The Lilac Domino) is an operetta in three acts by Charles Cuvillier. The original German libretto is by Emmerich von Gatti and Bla Jenbach, about a gambling count who falls in love at a masquerade ball with a noblewoman wearing a lilac domino mask. The operetta achieved far greater popularity in Britain and America than it did in Germany or France. Although The Lilac Domino became Cuvillier's greatest international hit, he won success in his native Paris with the operetta La reine s'amuse (1912; The Naughty Princess in London, 1920). He was popular in Germany before the First World War, and Der lila Domino was the first of two operettas that he wrote for German theatres. View the individual tune list.
