Pink Floyd
W&M by Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason, & David Gilmour
Each verse of the song follows a pattern of three strophes. The composition uses many progressive and unconventional musical effects. The ping sound heard at the beginning of the song was created as the result of an experiment at the very beginning of the Meddle sessions. It was produced through amplifying a grand piano and sending the signal through a Leslie rotating speaker.

Pink Floyd
W&M by Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason, & David Gilmour
"Echoes" is a song by Pink Floyd including lengthy instrumental passages, sound effects, and musical improvisation. Written in 1970 by all four members of the group (credited as Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason, David Gilmour on the original release), "Echoes" provides the extended finale to Pink Floyd's album Meddle. The track has a running time of 23:31 and takes up the entire second side of the vinyl recording. It also appears in shortened form as the fifth track on the compilation album which took its name, Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd. "Echoes" is the third-longest song in Pink Floyd's catalogue, after "Atom Heart Mother" (23:44) and the combined segments of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (26:01). Unlike those pieces, it is not explicitly divided into separate parts; however, the composition was originally assembled from separate fragments, and was later split in two parts to serve as both the opening and closing numbers in the band's film Live at Pompeii. The first part was used to open the band's 1987-90 A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour.

Chuck Mangione (1978)
Written by Chuck Mangione
"Feels So Good" is the title of a 1978 instrumental by the American flugelhorn player Chuck Mangione. It was both written and produced by Mangione and is the title track from his 1977 album. The album version of "Feels So Good" runs almost ten minutes, but an edit trimming the piece to 3 minutes 28 seconds was released as a single in early 1978. The single reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June of that year[1] after spending a week atop the Billboard easy listening chart in May.[2] The recording was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Record of the Year at the ceremony held in 1979, losing out to Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are". Mangione re-recorded the tune (as a slow ballad, and with lyrics sung by Don Potter) for his 1982 album 70 Miles Young. Mangione was quoted describing the editing of the original version of the track as "major surgery."

The Moody Blues (1972-3)
W&M by Ray Thomas
"For My Lady" is a song by the English progressive rock band The Moody Blues. It was written by the band's flautist Ray Thomas, and was first released on the 1972 album Seventh Sojourn. It was later released on the B-side of the single "I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)" in 1973. "For My Lady" is one of Ray Thomas's better known songs for the Moody Blues, along with "Legend of a Mind", and "Veteran Cosmic Rocker." It prominently features Ray Thomas on the flute and lead vocals. Due to the complex nature of the song's recording, The Moody Blues can only perform the song live when they are backed by a live orchestra, since Ray Thomas cannot sing and play the flute at the same time.
