Little River Band (1977)
W&M by Beeb Birtles and David Briggs
From The Album "Diamantina Cocktail". Chart Position: US No.16. Little River Band has had an unusually successful career, even though they have not remained a household name. This show, one of several recorded for the King Biscuit Flower Hour, came only three years after the band formed, but features several of their biggest hits. Opening with "It's A Long Way There," the group shows off its harmonic vocal prowess on nearly everything here, especially the hits: "Happy Anniversary," "Take Me Home," and "Help Is On Its Way."

W&M by Al DeLory, Fred Darian, and Joseph Van Winkle
"Mr. Custer" is a march novelty song, sung by Larry Verne, and written by Al DeLory, Fred Darian, and Joseph Van Winkle. It was a number-one song in the United States in 1960, topping the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for the issue dated October 10, 1960, and remained there for one week. It is a comical song about a soldier's plea to Custer before the climactic Battle of the Little Bighorn against the Sioux, which he did not want to fight. "Mr. Custer" was also a No. 12 success in the UK Singles Chart for Charlie Drake in 1960, his third such chart hit.
